This what needs to be considered. Regardless of how you morally feel about a former porn star or their ability to teach your kids, it's very possible that this situation was just unsustainable.

The kids and teachers all act differently toward her with this coming out...a certain sector of parents probably don't want their kids in her class and are outraged that she's even teaching there...she starts getting very frustrated at work because the comments and judging never seems to stop...it's a huge elephant in the room and it may have made it damn near impossible for her to do her job well. Maybe that's not 'fair' or 'just' but if that's what was the case, as a school district you make the move that brings harmony to the school, especially if you've got legal ground to stand on which it appears they do.

i know people who have been in the industry, my sister in law was in it for several years, my older brother has done movies too. they are two of the nicest people in the world. they are just not as hung up on sex as you are.

Yes, we should work on that, for sure.

But if you're the principal of a school facing a situation like this, your role is not to correct society's tendencies, it's to run the best school you can. At this point in time, given the situation he was faced with, firing her was probably the best way to go about that. If she was unable to do her job properly, you don't really have time to wait for society to change and accept her, you have to move on.
