Are the weekly props & parlay thread for the NFL coming back this season?
I'm getting major NFL parlay withdrawals.
Couldn't sleep last night......

Most of my threads become therapy sessions lol sorry.

I rather talk to yall than some stranger who gets paid to listen to my thoughts.
I have a friend who is now retired. Saw yours and was waiting until I had a few minutes to put this one out there. You'll love it. He was like "let me tell you about my day". He was very green, new on the force. Maybe a year, but I think it was more like a couple months. Responds to this suicide and the guy had offed himself in bed with a shotgun under the chin. So my buddy gets there first and he said somehow or another with the pressure/concussion it must have just happened perfectly but the guy's brain is on the pillow next to him in tact, looks like it came out of a jar in a lab or something. Basically perfect. Who knows how, but it happened. He's taking it in and looking around and a couple other guys in his precinct show up and I guess EMTs or whatever. As they enter he's like "Get in here, look at this! Look at his brain! Look at his brain on the pillow!!! How is that even possible!?" and says it 100 times. The dispatcher says "Unit 15, your mic is open". He had somehow depressed the mic button up by his shoulder and was "live" on everyone's radio and all the people listening on police scanners and such. This was 25 years back. Anyway, he fixes that like "F, I'm going to hear about that one"---and he did. So a bit of time goes by, coroner is there and the guy's family shows up outside. And they're known, a rough family. It's an old house converted to a two-family and the guy is upstairs. Apparently, the family is getting restless down in the front yard and wanting to see him, whatever. The coroner had been our county coroner for decades and so is an old guy who has seen about everything but even he was apparently dismayed as to how the physics worked in this case, but anyway...
Family starts getting worked up and they want in and such so the coroner says someone needs to go down there and talk to them and tells my buddy this is your welcome and go talk to the family. He said he started down the stairs and can hear them all and it's a big commotion and he gets a couple steps down and turns around and goes back into the apartment and he said by now there are a lot of other cops there and he says to the coroner "Hey, I'm headed down but what am I supposed to tell them?".
The coroner is over the guy or whatever and turns around and looks at him with a raised eyebrow and says "What do you mean? You tell them he's dead." He said he walked back out and down and delivered the news but if I live to be 100 I'll not forget him recounting the story and I knew who the coroner was and so him being so old and matter-of-fact made the whole thing even better. Not his best day, but a great story.

Plot twist it was someone else’s brain next to his corpse!

Nah, it was that guy's. Crazy, tho. Said it looked like it was placed there. Just the angle he was holding the shotgun or whatever.
