I'd argue that it's more embarrassing that Ngannou managed to win some rounds even without the knockdown. This should've never happened regardless of how out of shape Fury was. But dropping Fury has never been difficult to pull off. Just like it wasn't hard to put Floyd Patterson down. He tasted the canvas 20x in his career. One of those knockdowns came against Pete Rademacher, the reigning Olympic champion at the time who, like Ngannou, also had 0 professional boxing matches.

Boxing never was Paige's strong part. It's MMA after all and she was quite good at scrambles on the ground and standing combined with wrestling. That doesn't help her in boxing but there are quite some UFC fighters with good skill level in boxing.

Paige made the most out of her talent and was very tough in the cage.

I thought UFC Paige was surprisingly tough & scrappy for a lot of the hate she received for being somewhat attractive. She had some talent & clearly trained a lot.

Just her ambition and need to seek fame far outweighed her talent & earning potential with the UFC.

Women's combat sports are still paper thin enough in talent to where if you train at a high level and pursue it as a career you can have a shot at being a top level pro athlete in that scope.

She was good up until Rose destroyed her I think, after that she maybe realized she wasn't as good as she thought she was and lost motivation. Once she stopped training at TAM it was fully over.

I maintain that the PVZ who beat Felice Herrig was good though.
