Flyweight Grand Prix

Who wins, and how?

EDIT: might make another one of these. so let me know what weight-class you wanna see
I only know the current FLW Champ and all the former Champ and for Pettis i know he is Anthony brother but i dont know his fights Plus i dont know who is Moreno,Kyoji Moraes and Askar to be honest

Throw Ougikubo, Asakura or Kape in there instead of Grabrandt.

World flyweight division is insanely stacked, I've been tellin ya.
For sure.
I was looking at Kai, Kape, Alex Perez, and Azamat Kerefov, but settled on some more name value (how sell-out of me). Kai and Kape are good, but Pettis and Cody have a better body of work.
Why is Cody included over all the other BWs? Is there something I missed?
Cody has said he wants to fight for the title at flyweight. He's sort of the Holly Holm of the Flyweight/Bantamweights. He's 1-3 in his last 4. But he's an ex-champ who's only lost to the best, and he starched Raphael Assuncao last fight.
I work Horiguchi could see someone else in the first round. Lol I think he has a good chance against anyone except Cejudo.
The left side of the tournament is def the stronger. But any other variation has DJ fighting someone he's already beaten before in the semi-final.

- Pettis beat Benavidez and Moreno, but went on a slump. He's fighting bantamweight in Bellator now. He's probably the odd man out.
- Kyoji is a legend. 28-3 (7-1 in the UFC), and is probably #3 greatest flyweight ever.
- Askar was recently signed to UFC from ACA (strongest european promotion) where he was their flyweight champion. Drew Moreno in his first fight in the UFC. is 2-0-1 in the UFC now.
- Moreno had a wonky first UFC run, but has looked good in his return.
- Adriano Moraes is the ONE champion (Asian promotion) and will be DJ's actual next opponent. He's beaten some solid competition, but their names aren't very recognised outside of the Asian bubble (similar issues with ACA).

I'd take Demetrius first. Should be noted that it's unlikely Cejudo can still make 25 without some consequences. He complained about getting to 35 recently. Kyoji would do better than most Sherbros would expect.

MM is getting old and slow. He'd have a lot of issues with current Horigucci and the hyper-aggressive Cejudo 3.0.
MM still takes Guchi to task. He can hang with him standing and always has the takedown threat, and is a far superior grappler. Cejudo probably can't even make 25 anymore, (35 was tough for him in his last couple of fights) so he's kind of a moot point.

Horiguci is out of ATT now. He was going from Crazy bee to a couple weeks at AKA when he fought MM. His takedown defence has improved a lot and I don't think MM would have that much success on the feet anymore. Gooch has really improved his blitz set ups.

Cody gets outclassed lmao. Only thing Cody has over him is KO power and he gets finished anyway DJ wants.

I don't think he could knock him out standing. I don't even think he'd try. Though that depends on what kind of shape Garbrandt would be in after cutting to 125.
