Does not matter. Mayweather's boxing mastery negates Conor's boxing which seems basic in comparison.

Conor would be forced to dwell more on kicks just like he was forced to shoot for a takedown on Nate Diaz.

Fair point, I'll give you that. Only reason I don't see the point in a compromise match is because Mayweather has never claimed to be anything more than a boxer yet McGregor has said he'd fight in a boxing match.

Realistically McGregor even knows he'd lose, he just wants the payday. That's why he's already saying "Floyd doesn't want to engage in true unarmed combat blah blah blah". He's basically laying the foundation for excuses when he loses.

Other problem is there's no money in MMA or Kickboxing in comparison to a boxing match so Mayweather would lose and not even get a decent payday. It's simply not worth it for him. Whereas if it's a boxing match, even when McGregor loses he'd still get a fuck-tonne of money.
