Floyd is not going to do any better than Brimage

Yes... Floyd's boxing ability is just like Marcus Brimage's.

They're not exactly equal in their boxing. Floyd is better at giving hugs.

Marcus would beat Floyds ass in a fight. So would mighty mouse.

Hes a scared little man who beats his wife and cant take his kids to school by himself

Brimage is probably a little more skilled than The Floyd in the sweet science.

Brimage : 5'4, 135lbs 71inch reach

Floyd: 5'8, 150lbs. 74inch reach
Everyone who meets Floyd says there is no way he is 5"8. His reach is 72" not 74". And he's 150 pounds soaking wet. He doesnt even need to cut weight to hit 150. Conor is going to be the MUCH bigger man. His melon head alone is 2x the size of Floyd's.

Both have similar physiques and they are pretty much equal with their boxing. Conor is going to land with that vicious uppercut very early. Likely puts Floyd unconcious first 2 rounds.

"they are pretty much equal with their boxing" is one of the least correct things I ever read on Sherdog.

Throughout his 49-0 run through boxing, Mayweather may have become the best defensive fighter in the history of the sport.

What is defensivly good with Brimage, somebody please tell me?

Look at Floyd fighting and you'll see a boxer who is great at his feet and is able to block and parry punches like few fighters ever have.

He's also got a solid chin and is capable of taking the occasional shot that slips through his guard.

His "shoulder roll" defense was nearly impenetrable throughout the latter part of his career.

I mean Floyd is basically proficient at all facets of the sport of boxing, while Brimage is not,
and Floyd basically made a living out of timing opponents and keeping them out of rhythm with sharp and precise footwork.

But one of greatest asset is Floyds ability to adjust to whatever is thrown at him once the bell rings, Brimage lacks that ability totally.

Floyds approach tends to lean more toward defense and controlling his opponent's work rate, which means he doesn't punch aggressively like Brimage did against Conor, instead Floyd counters them into submission or potshots them , often into a decision loss.

If Floyds comes in with his customary work ethic and conditioning, most likely he will employ his typical tactic of frustrating Conor by making it nearly impossible to land a clean shot
while landing precise counters of his own, Brimage made it fairly easy to land a clean shot, and had horrble counter attacks for Conor.

Jimmies have been rustled. Ribs will be broken, his Philly shell vs Conor's southpaw is going to mean eating some dirty body shots early.

he thing is Floyd wont be aggressive like Brimage. If Floyd opened up, he could be countered, but he won't.

Marcus Brimage, the boxing GOAT you've never heard about..
