But probably for your own country or the country you're living in, not just a random country that you politically support at the time.

It’s funny. I was telling some Japanese people in a bar one evening that I voted for Brexit and they all thought I was crazy and asked me why.

I asked them if they would want Japan to be a part of an “Asian Union”, with open borders, shared currency, common asylum policy, common agricultural policy etc. etc. An Asian Union with Korea, China, Taiwan, Mongolia, heck, let’s throw in Vietnam and the Philippines, too … all of these people in the bar, every single one of them, said that they wouldn’t want that and that they want Japan to remain sovereign.
