Media First time i see George Saint Pierre vs Matt Serra 1. Damn, prime GSP was three time the size.

Damn, I love GSP, but his striking sucked in this fight. He was missing on every left kick he threw, telegraphing the to hell and back as well. Every time Serra would close distance GSP would put his head down and start winging hooks. It was as Chael said to Wanderlei "Fucking amateur".

Now he's The Thing from Fantastic Four..

when people say fluke punch i laugh
Why is that?
Fluke
noun
  1. an unlikely chance occurrence, especially a surprising piece of luck. Is there any reason to believe that Matt Serra could win against GSP if they fought another 999,998 times? It was a one in a million happening.
You may think Fluke means accident but it does not. Serra was trying to hit GSP and he did but he doesn't get that result ever again. It was a Fluke.

Serra was outstriking GSP before he rocked him and tapped him. It was not a fluke. The better man won that night.

So before the shot that had GSP Rocked Serra was winning the striking? 2 min in and GSP landed 10 sig strikes to Serra's 6 and two of those were little leg kicks.

One minute later Serra rocked GSP and capitalised on it. Good on Matt for taking the win. He was the better man on the night but that was a result of his FLUKE LUCK. Accept it and move on with life.

Perhaps you want to discuss how Mike Russow didn't land a FLUKE punch on Todd Duffee.

This fight is proof that when people say I think xxx wins 9/10 times it's not always bullshit.

It wasn’t until GSP implemented gymnastics into his training before he became an elite fighter.

Serra clipped Karo early prior to that, who at the time was considered just below GSP in the elite ww conversations so it wasn’t like a complete fluke.. that was his skillset at that point, the rematch speaks for itself

really lame. where's the rematch to the rematch.

Seeing how GSP tapped to Hughes 1 second before the horn and lost a fluke to Serra, he's amazingly close to having zero pro losses.

So many fights have been lost because one guy didn't feel comfortable enough on his back to just chill for a few seconds and recompose.

Agreed. Lutter and Serra getting title shots was crazy. Lutter came in over weight and robbed Silva of his first defense, and essentially the record. Serra comes in and takes GSP's belt before he could ever defend it. What a shit show. Lol
Yeah the odds of that working out for them like it did are astronomical. Imagine having fighters like Erik Silva and others who were suppose to make something of themselves but never put it together fight for a chance at a title then fight Kamaru Usman lol.

It’s been 13 years. We can safely say you’re never going to get over this loss.

Serra was winning the fight before the knockdown
