I know a lot of liberals and they constantly badmouth troops. Supporting them is a sign of xenophobia/ultranationalism and low IQ, in their opinions. Troops are mercenaries for a corrupt government.

You live in the South so maybe Dems are different down there, but up here in the Northeast lefties have nothing but disdain for them and those that support them. Say "support the troops" up here and at best you'll get an eye roll; at worst you'll get into an argument about how what they're doing is immoral so there's no reason to support them.
