I've actually been pretty careful in what I've said about this whole thing because I don't have all the facts on it or honestly even understand every corner of it, nor have I pretended to.

Honestly, I find literally everyone's reaction to somewhat disingenuous. Our reaction should be somewhere in between. I knew it was going to be about like this. It wouldn't be as earth shattering as some hoped/feared and one group will insist its unprecedented and the other will insist its nothing at all. I'm just going to see what the fallout is.

I do not however, believe in just plugging my ears and yelling until it goes away. Our politicians played this country for fools in the last election. We need to care about this.

You want to read the entirety of the 400 page application for the FISA warrant? First, do you not believe that we should have classified warrants, at all? So the FBI should be forced to publicize any means the used to collect evidence in regards to foreign powers? Fuck our sources then, just let criminals (and russia) see exactly what we've got, and how we got it.

And you don't need that boy. Don't act like the issue here is in doubt. You have one person, Nunes, who said that he never read the warrant application. So discarding everything else, you'd at least have to admit that his memo is speculative at best (and that would make it's publication grossly irresponsible, if it was this alone). But in addition, you have every other member of the House Intelligence Committee saying that they've read the application, and the steele dossier is not what was used to get the warrant.

So in order to come down on your side, every single one of them has to be outright lying. And not even intelligently lying, saying something that a fuckton of people in government would know to be untrue. And Nunes, who was already caught lying about his sources before, and admitting that he has no idea what the fuck he's talking about here, is somehow on to something. Hell, not even on to something, this is damning enough to shut down a criminal investigation that has already resulted in criminal charges for multiple parties, along with some guilty pleas.

The world sees this for what it is. A really d-level attempt to discredit an investigation that the WH wants to go away. Only partisan cucks are happy with this memo.

The FBI and DOJ put out a letter yesterday urging against releasing the Memo.

They said that it would offer a misleading and one sided account that they could refute, but not publically.

So, basically, the dossier was included on the FISA warrant because the FBI has other sources to corraborate the information.

They, of course, can’t release these sources because Putin would accidentally drop pianos on them.

The whole shitstorm actually makes me MORE likely to believe the information in the dossier.

If there were improprieties that destroyed the case, Flynn's team would file to withdraw his guilty plea, not to delay sentencing.

That's the thing, anyone who thinks the DOJ & FBI did anything wrong is labeled in here. Some dude in here said I was calling for impisonment. Maybe he got me confused.

It is really sad to see Liberals who usually side with civil liberties and limited powers in agencies like the FBI stand silent or worse attack people that question them.
