FIRST POST! Hey everyone, looooong time lurker since I was first introduced to, and started training and following MMA back in the mid-2000s, and finally decided to join in the fun on Sherdog. I'll spare the BS and get right to it - here's my ideal card for UFC 200, based on who's likely available as of today, and including the one already confirmed fight as of now (Velasquez v. Browne). (Note: I'm NOT including the likely Diaz-McGregor rematch as it makes no sense to me and there are other fights involving these two I'd much rather see)
MAIN EVENT - WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Robbie Lawler (C) v. Georges St.-Pierre
CO-MAIN EVENT-
FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Conor McGregor (C) v. Frankie Edgar
WOMENS BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP (rematch):
Meisha Tate (C) v. Holly Holm
Nate Diaz v. Anthony Pettis
Lyoto Machida v. Gegard Mousasi
Alexander Gustafsson v. (winner of Glover Teixeira /Rashad Evans )
Cain Velasquez v. Travis Browne
(Undercard/Prelims)
Renan Barao v. Aljamain Sterling
CM Punk v. Mickey Gall
Kyoji Horiguchi v. Sergio
Pettis
Sage Northcutt v. puberty (-300)
Three title fights, including the one rematch that should actually really happen since the first fight was so close back-and-forth (and the other interesting contender in that division, Ronda Rousey , will be filming a movie for the next few months). Every weight class represented, except women's strawweight, which will have its division's title fight the night before on the TUF finale. A legit super fight for the WW belt, another for the FW belt that shouldn't be denied. A few great stylistic match ups, the debut of CM Punk bringing casuals to the prelims to stay for the main course, and even a fight between a young prospect and manhood itself. Discuss!!!
