Just have fun! You don't pay money to be miserable. Relax and try to use good technique. Have a game plan ready. Tear it up!

Video tape if you can. That's just so valuable for getting better and seeing things you can improve.

It's just a 5 minute test. If you pass, awesome! If you fail, learn why you failed and get ready for that next test!

    Most importantly, have fun!

    I got silver.

Won my first fight 7-0 and very nearly got a triangle.
Second fight I got a bye because someone hurt their arm.
Lost the final 4-0, all fight he was in my guard and I was going for sweeps and nearly got an armbar, but fucked up with a sweep and he then passed to mount with 5 seconds left.

Disapointed with the mistakes I made but enjoyed it, the guy who beat me was more experianced and was kicking ass til he fought me so im quite proud. A great experience that i fully enjoyed..going for gold next time!

Thanks for the advice dudes, it helped settle my nerves.

Congradulations good sir! Silver isn't half bad for your first competition. Give yourself a complimentary pat on the back, and keep training like a madman!
