I think that is too much of an oversimplification of what happened. Dana's headstrong bullheadedness has opened alot of doors for UFC. He is not this passive guy on the sidelines.

I dont deny Dana works hard and has helped the ufc tremendously be what it is today.
They've publicly stated TUF was the last stand. If it failed they fold.
