Media Firas Zahabi thinks 60% of the UFC roster is on ped's

I think those numbers are pretty accurate. Lots of fighters don't use them, lots do. A lot of fighters probably used them before they got to the UFC and a lot of fighters still do a couple cycles during their UFC career. It's not like you lose all of the benefits when you stop taking them. Most steroid users only use them in cycles anyway rather than being on them all year round. USADA's 3 strikes rule for giving them the wrong location is basically a free pass to do a cycle.

How do we get that number up to 100? The ped era in mma was the best time to be a fan. Anybody claiming otherwise is lying to themselves. We want juiced up freaks who can do spinning kick KOs. Jon Jones hasnt had a finish since getting off the gas. They keep saying trust thr science when it comes to the vaccine. Yeah ok, but I also trust the science when it comes to peds. Peds are amazing.
We had Costa Vs Romero.

The trt era lives on.
We had a beautiful fight with 2 freaks

People need to embrace drugs and genetic modification. Stop fighting the present and future. A better world is here. A better world awaits. We all know we enjoyed Hendo and Belfort at their peak. Wanderlei. Fedor. We like home runs and big hits. Ivan Drago. Stallone. Schwarzenegger. Where would whole organizations and stars be without chemical additives. Everyone liked PRIDE. Imagine how much better Jones' would be if he embraced drugs.

Lets be honest. Lets Let them bang.

This is theory and is based on ...?. Like I said: if it were that easy, big names (who should have access to the best methods) would not be allowing their careers to crumble. It doesn't add up.

Whose careers are crumbling who aren't already as old as the hills to begin with? Guys who used to be forces of nature and inexplicably fell off are few and far between, and most of them were old as dirt beforehand (Vitor being the most obvious, others being maybe Jacare? Reems been shot for ages but is also still pretty yoked). Obvious users falling of the map since testing became enhanced is really not that common.

If anything it's likely reduced juicing intensity rather than frequency, cheats can still cheat, it's just harder and tends toward lesser results, harder for geriatrics like Vitor to come in looking like Mr. Universe.

I am not talking about the guys who get caught - I am talking about the cases of elite guys falling off a cliff in 2015. Guys like Hendricks and Weidman whose bodies changed and who went from world beaters to jobbers. This simply does not line up with the 'testing is a joke/everyone can take PEDs with impunity (as long as they don't fumble)' narrative.
Hendricks maybe, but Weidman's decline came pretty gradually as he exited his athletic prime into his mid thirties, one of the least suspicious declines, exactly what you would expect from a clean fighter whether he actually juiced or not.

Weidman was still giving prime Rockhold a hard fight after USADA, his decline was not that steep.

Why was the loss of the TUE exemption such a big deal for guys like vitor, Bigfoot, etc?

I think that it used to be 60-70%. Guessing it's much lower now, simply because even a number of the big stars are looking flaccid and flunking out - that's when you know that the controls are having the desired effect: the cheats are scared.

In the early and mid 90s our high school basketball and football team we all did peds. It was a town of 30 thousand people.

you are extremely naive.

when Ben Johnson beat Carl Lewis and it was overturned as Johnson used peds. Well shit 20+ years later. So was Lewis. mans he was busted as well he just had more undetectable enhancers at the time.

It’s so crazy that people actually think. In a profession where fitness is the main the and stronger faster and better. That nobody uses these things.

the testing is way behind what’s going on.

I disagree, all the current champs are probably on gear, the guys in the ufc keep getting bigger, stronger, faster. Its not that difficult to pass these test if you know which compounds to use and how high of a dosage you can use before getting popped.
I estimate that 90% of the roster use a short ester testosterone base like suspension or propionate and a small dose of GH, bioidentical hormones that are hard to detect.

I estimate its somewhere between 95%-99%

A clean hardworking athlete can not beat a juiced up hardworking athletes, life is not a Disney movie, the good guy doesn't always win.
Not necessarily.
If someone's got the talent for something and works hard, all the PEDs in the world will probably not help.
There are also absolutely people who are natty and muscular despite doing MMA, it's just that not everybody has the genetics for it.

We accept that some people have god like coordinational talent, we accept that some are scary intelligent and others are astonishingly creative, but apparently it's much harder for people to accept that some people just have a way easier time building and maintaining muscle mass.

... i'm not saying that there aren't many fighters on PEDs, just adding my two cents.

when I was younger I took many drug tests for various different things. I always did drugs and past every test.

I was sober but rampantly did many drugs.

I'm ok being aligned with VADA on this, since they probably have a fuller set of data than 'common sense' and anecdotes.

Why was the loss of the TUE exemption such a big deal for guys like vitor, Bigfoot, etc?

Probably because their nuts were already fried from extreme abuse and without the hardest stuff their test levels fell off a cliff. Of course with Bigfoot his condition may have been a contributing factor.

Smarter juicers probably never get that far gone.
