Xbones were on sale $50 off at Target today, so I picked one up so I can finally join the current gen. Itshappening.gif. Picked up Fallout 4 (my main reason for upgrading really) and will start playing soon after it downloads 8 billion updates. It'll be nice to anticipate new games coming out again, I hope Xcom 2 gets ported over eventually.

I'd love for xcom 2 to come to consoles, but didn't the developer basically say they weren't interested in doing that (making me a sad panda).

They said for now. I bet it happens eventually though

I think they decided to not do the console port because the game sold like shit on consoles. First one came out on everything eventually, so they might do it eventually I guess.

The menu setup couldn't be less intuitive. Also in the store you used to be able to search games by genre, but I don't see any option to do that now. Don't understand why they're always taking these big steps backwards with the ui.

You can search by genre... it's hidden though. I found it by accident once.

They really screwed up the games section of the store...

Can get a cheap pc that will play that no problem.

It's like they hate money or something. Any menu fu tips you could teach me? The ui on this thing would make you think it was released in 1992

I agree the 360 set up was way better for searching games. I liked how they had Arcade, On Demand, Demos, and Indie games all separated. Now (besides the demos) everything is all lumped together.

That and you could search by genre. It was nice looking for just strategy games or arcade classics

I got my X1 about 6 months ago and I recommend that you get EA Access. It's only $30 a year and all of these games are free with the service.

1Battlefield 4
2 Madden NFL 25
3 FIFA 14
4 Peggle 2
5 Need for Speed Rivals
6 Plants vs. Zombies:
7 EA Sports UFC
8 NBA Live 15
9 Madden NFL 15
10 NHL 15
11 FIFA 15
12 Titanfall
13 Dragon Age: Inquisition
14 Battlefield Hardline
16 Plants vs. Zombies
17 NHL 16
18 Dead Space
19 Madden 16

And for the games that aren't free to play yet like EA UFC 2 and Star Wars Battlefront you get 10 hours of free game play.

With all of those plus the 4 free games a month from having a Gold account I've only bought a few games and still have a shit ton back logged.

You still kind of can. Like if you go to the search games screen and type in sports or racing those genres will pop up, but so will all of the DLC. It's definitely a cluster fuck.

That's honestly a quality amount of content, but I don't really play fps or sports games. So you pay and get those games unlocked for a year or?

You download the games to your Hardrive and as long as your subscription is active. You get to play them. EA has stated that they will never remove any of the Vault games once they've already offered them for free.

If you don't want to drop the $30 for the year. They also offer it for $5.00 a month if you just wanted to try it.

The games they don't offer for free (For example Star Wars) the ten hour trial they offer you starts and stops when you play the game. So if you played the game for 2 hours on Monday you would have 8 hours left if you went to play it on Friday.

You also get discounts on new games, I basically got my money back when I bought NFS.

Should have bought a PS4. Uncharted 4 a month away.

You also get early access with some of the games.

Make sure you eventually pick up an external hard drive, you're gonna need it.

Second if you like the Arkham Series then Arkham Knight is is about 25 bucks, Gears UE is super cheap if you're into Gears and go buy ROTR.

For sure this. While you can while you can expand up to 3tb. 1tb is all you need. I have 56 games installed on my X1 and I still have 450gb's left. Best Buy sells the 1tb Hd's for between $50 or $60.
