Multiplat Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (PC release announced Jan 23rd, 2025)

I really want to try Cait Sith, which I never thought I would say.

Never used him in the dozens of times i have replayed 7 because he is ass, but he looks so fun in the previews.
Me and my sis would call him “cat shit” because he was so ass to use, I would play the character for nastalgia purposes though.

Played the first game and loved it, but I think I will wait for everything to be released before picking this up. Don't have a PS5 and probably will never get one, but I imagine at some point they will do a box set. And holy hell two PS5 discs. How fucking long will this game be?
There's a chance but who knows how big that chance is

Looks like the demo is being released 9pm Japanese time on the 21st

Played through the demo yesterday and enjoyed it quite a bit. Another reminder that FF7 has one of the most memorable soundtracks ever though.

The instant nostalgia that kicks in.

Played demo update but wasn’t too hyped because of the gameplay footage I already had seen 2-3x before. A lotta cool abilities have been added though.

If anything it’s the confirmation that remaining spoiler free and without context is the best way to start playing a video game.

93 with 114 reviews. Another hit for Square\PS.

Only going to have Friday\Saturday morning to play this since the wife is off that weekend.

Can't wait for this day 1 buy. Just found out my insurance is going to give me at least $450 for now and even more once the electrician confirms the rest of my stuff is broken as well. So at least my next PS5 has been paid for.

I played the remake on PSN ,even that integrade one. I never played ff7 as a kid so didn’t know the story.

I was really stoned on my play through but do remember it being a lot of button mashing ? Typical stop and go fighting . But really enjoyed switching characters like that Barret dude.

So I watched a spoiler free "review" from one of the streamers I frequent. Only thing I will share is what his gameplay length was (on normal mode). Will Spoil it for those who do not want to know.

Completing about 90% of the game, on normal, he hit around 90+ hours. Said the story is 30-35, and the side stuff is a separate. 50-60 depending on skill level. We going to be eating for awhile.

Seems reasonable to me. Main story of most RPGs usually takes that amount of time for completion. I just hope the side quests are good but I’ve read good things about them mostly. I’m a bit wary though because bar some exceptions, FF16’s side quests were trash.

Different team working on them, so not too worried.

Apparently the card game is aces, which is good to hear.

Btw, for the people that bought the game digitially: you can pre-download the game 48 hours before launch, so from Tuesday February 27.

The game is massive, so if you want to jump in as soon as the game releases, better turn on that download beforehand.
