Yeah well, the take away point here is that the refs in the Jones and DC examples should've done the same.

Apparently it's actually in the rules, too. DC and Anik were commenting on it, and Joe did some stupid "but is that in the rulllles though" and they both pretty much told him, yeah, you're dumb, it's in there.

You sound so sure with your presumption. It could've definitely been more calculated than that. You don't know what the refs are instructed to do right before each match by upper brass.

Different refs have different approaches, I was delighted to see it, I was also delighted to see a draw and not some "Moreno the contender needed to beat the Champion" nonsense from the judges, though I'm not sure he won the 3rd round lol.
