For me it has to be former UFC fighter Sean Soriano. Came in as an undefeated prospect on short notice against Kawajiri and put on a good fight and showed some great kickboxing. I thought that he was a future contender since he was still young and came from a great camp (The Blackzillians I believe)

He lost his two other UFC fights against Chas Skelly and Charles Rosa and was then cut with a 0-3 UFC record and have had mixed results on the regional MMA scene since then.

I was really impressed with Christian Morecraft

I remember thinking Evan Dunham was going to the top after his "defeat" to Sean Sherk.

I remember saying the words "I dunno who BJ fights next, once he gets past Frankie, who's gonna get destroyed."

I remember wondering who else Fedor could possibly destroy after getting through Werdum.

I would have NEVER guessed that RDA would evolve in to a title challenger, let alone an actual champion. To think he just beat the shit out of Robbie Lawler is absurd.

I, like most MMA fans, have been wrong many, many times.

Was wrong about Marlon Moraes

Aljo is a guy I was wrong about, I thought for sure that he would be a title challenger by now. He just lacks the striking to be a top contender and it doesn't seem like he improves much between fights. He's still young tho so who knows

I thought Hector Lombard and Will Brooks were going to wreck shit in the UFC.
They have a combined UFC record of 4-10-0-1

Conor McGregor. Thought he would rule two weight classes, not win belts and run

I actually thought Jon Jones was a good person when he first showed up.

Yes, we need to give him and Erick Silva some time to grow into the role.

I was wrong about Fallon Fox 5 mins too late

nah you can't compare those two, Aljo is 28 and has probably hit his ceiling. Silva on the other hand hasn't even hit puberty yet.

I was a big Jon Jones fan before he got to big for his britches. I thought Roy Nelson would do better than he did. I thought Brock was going to run through Cain. I thought Roy was gonna kill JDS LOL! That was when I was a noob to MMA.

Jeremy Stephens as of late.

Had completely written him off as a forever fringe top 15 gatekeeper when he was at 155 and now he is potentially 1 win away from a title shot with a decent chance of adding the featherweight GOAT to his resume

You're still a noob, just look at your belt.

I thought Mike Perry would actually keep winning and be in the top 5 by now.. now he's lost 2 or 3 in a row that he was supposed to win, and lost his girl. He might even be cut before the end of the year.

I thought Jotko was gonna be something
