Fighters with weak punches but solid chins

Moreno has solid power. He rocked or dropped Fig in all three of their fights, which I don’t recall anyone else doing.

Blagoy Ivanov seems to have low power for a HW (no KO/TKO wins in the UFC) and the best chin I’ve ever seen.

Shields is probably the best answer historically, though his chin is now gone.
He hurt Figgy sure. Nate has wobbled & dropped fighters too. So has Max, Edgar, Bisping, & even Cruz dropped Faber.

I guess they're all power punchers lol

Pre Masvidal it goes to Askren.

He really was capable of taking a punch and driving right through it.

But had stay puffed written all over him.

Vettori, he has a really good chin, he can take it, seen lots of guys land flush on him and he just eats it.. but his punch power is not good, most of his wins are by decision and even some low level guys he still couldn't finish them.

Great chin, but not convinced by his punch power at all.. the way he is built he is quite a big guy, so I'd expect some more impact on his shots
He has that Tito Ortiz/Forest Griffin syndrome, built like a tank but not too much power in the punches.Tito does have more power than Marvin though

Chael Sonnen. Dude had never even been properly dropped in his entire career until he came out of retirement and went to Bellator and fought Wanderlei. Never been knocked out cold. Even when he was fighting at HW in Bellator, he took BOMBS against Fedor and still survived. Sure, he got finished a couple of times in the UFC by TKO/strikes, but it was always from ground and pound after a guy got a dominant position on top of him, and he never went out cold. The only exception was the second Anderson fight, and in that one, he wasn't knocked down - he fell down, then Silva hit him with the knee. I honestly think he has one of the best chins, especially considering he was a middleweight.

.

I think Blagoy has been dropped like twice in his pro career. 22 fights all at HW. And he's never really come particularly close to being KO'd.

His durability is absolutely bonkers.

In their primes
Paulie Palignaggi
Chris Byrd
Joe Calzaghe
Chris Eubank Jr

I mean he just doesn’t seem particularly pillowfisted compared to other flyweights. None of them hit that hard except for Fig. (Which does bolster the case for Moreno having a solid chin, as he took those shots for 12+ rounds.)

We've heard of glass cannon. What do we call the exact opposite of that. Here's a list of fighters that fit that model

Jon jones
Jake Shields
Max holloway
Diaz bros
Colby covington

pretty good list I would say
