Who are some fighters who are known for being really exciting but are actually kind of boring.

For me that guy is Max Holloway, don't get me wrong I like him, and he has exciting moments, but I've been watching his win streak the last couple of days and it seems like his fights are mostly boring until either the finish or sometimes he'll start brawling briefly before going back to doing what he does.

The Jeremy Stephens fight and the Pettis fight (before the finish) especially stood out as very boring.

Many many.

Masvidal, Bobby Green, Edgar, Mighty Mouse, Cejudo, Ross Pearson, Felder, Lamas and many others.

It's funny when people get all excited about the fight and you just know it's gonna suck so when you come here people act all surprise why was that fight boring.

Nick Diaz. His 3 most high profile fights, he lost all of them, inflicted no damage and failed to make the fights exciting.

He is tough mother f'er but Rory.
He was definitely another that came to mind when writing this post.

He's only really exciting when someone like Robbie makes the fight exciting, not that there's anything wrong with that, he's a great fighter, but Rory (and his fans) have tried to create this psycho/savage character when in actuality he's a technician who will take the safest route to victory.

The Mouse guy. I just don't see the appeal of the flea circus, and the forced hype is a further put off.

I'm personally amazed that people are getting excited about Sonnen's career in Bellator, especially considering he's fighting completely unmotivated opponents. I also have no clue why people are that eager to see Masvidal or Wonderboy fight again.

Chael Sonnen. He can hype up any crowd with pre fight drama but his fights are usually boring as fuck.

Mighty Mouse. Ants fighting is not more exciting than lion duels just because ants fighting are "P4P" more action packed.

Felder? Really? And DJ arm-barred a guy in mid-air after he tossed him up there his last fight. Cut these men some slack dude

Most will disagree but for me it’s Gastleum. I like the kid, but I feel he is a bit overrated. Maybe it’s his lack of professionalism, or the fact that he lost to Neil Magny or how I believe he lost the decision to Jacare.

All just opinions.

uh? u´re gonna blame him for the Condit or Spider fiasco?!?

Yeah, I am. If you're opponent refuses to walk straight at you, you have to create openings and opportunities. Not just cry about it after.

"walk straight at you,"

wut? Condit was runnin away!

Spider was the much bigger man, he should have KOed him.

The Stephens fight both never got settled. They both kept each other on edge and could never get comfortable.

If you can't appreciate the set ups and him overwhelming Pettis's senses and mind then this sport isn't for you. Watching him dissecting him was a beauty.

Stephens and Lamas are his only 2 underwhelming fights that I can even think of at all.

He has almost 20 fights in the UFC alone and you can't name 3 boring fights of his. Definitely doesn't qualify to this thread.

Masvidal and Jeremy Stephens.

Can't stand watching them fight.

Other fighters cut Condit off and trap him and piece him up with his mediocre boxing.

Nicks non existent footwork, limited and overrated aggression, and barely elite skill set failed him again.

Puh-lease.. Condit never ran that much in other fights.

It´s even puzzling, he decided to go to war vs Ruthless, but ran vs Diaz...
