Fighters who ate their words

Shayna Bazler before facing Juliana Pena on TUF : "she doesn't even diserve to be in a cage with me, she should be going to my seminars"

Didn't Ronda say something to the effect of that Juliana didn't deserve to breathe the same air as Shayna?

"She’s the type of fighter you have to be very, very patient with. I feel like she’s going to try to like keep distance and keep far away from me and get me frustrated to the point I’ll make a mistake and she can try to kick me in the head. But it’s not going to go like that."

He absolutely did quit - the ref repeatedly asked him if he could continue and he refused to answer - his corner eventually stopped it, but it was clear BJ was just waiting for someone to step in and do it without him actually having to say it himself.
Refusing to answer is not quitting though. Answering that he could not continue would be quitting. There is a very big distinction here: one is quitting per definition, the other is your speculation.

Or he could have just answered "yes, I can" - he basically just didn't want to say it and let his corner step in and make the decision.

Not hating on him for it, but I just can't buy the "he didn't quit - it was his corner" crap.

One I remember is Overeem who I'm a fan of BTW, prior to the BF fight was very disrespectful, at the weigh in I remember Reem pointing to BF saying "your a dead man".

Reem proceeds to get taken late, gasses and get KTFO in highlight reel fashion, with BF standing screaming over Reems crumpled body eating canvas.

Phil Baroni - turns out he wasn't actually "the best eva"

Still love him though.
