We all have our favorite fighters and seeing them lose always hurts, especially getting beat down.

I think there are certain fighters that I follow and support that I just get a little more sad to see lose.

Some great examples are below:

BJ Penn - It hurts me to see him lose because it's become a habit now for him to take severe one-sided punishment in his losses. Seeing him lose tight ones like GSP I or Edgar I still hurt, but not quite as bad as the bad beatings from Rory, Diaz and Edgar III.

On the other hand I love Anthony Johnson, but I don't get anywhere near as emotional when he gets beaten up and choked the way he has several times in the past. Just get a feeling he can take it better, sounds silly I know.

So, who are your fighters you just cannot bear to see be on the receiving end of a beating? Which fighters make you sad, deeply when you see that fight eventually be called off.

Lemme hear em'...

Machida. Watching Romero elbow him into living death really sucked to watch (not to mention the beating Rockhold put on him), and i'm not even a big Machida fan.

Conor McGregor.

Oh, wait, you said hate. My bad.

Watching Gus lose in Sweden was gut wrenching.

Ahhh yes, this is a good one.

Every time I watch that Jones choke and seeing his helpless face, I just get sad. Also the brutal finishes from Wanderlei in PRIDE are just tear-jerking lol.

That's why this always helps me sleep better at night!

Rampage, BJ, Shogun, and Sakuraba. I was surprised that I felt the same way about Hendo when Cormier completely ragdolled him. That was a tough one to watch.

Edit: felt so bad for JDS in his 2nd and 3rd fights with Cain.

I pretty much hated Machida most of his career.

I'm a huge Shogun fan, and Rampage fan so I was cheering against him hard in those bouts. Never connected very much with him.

I'm a huge Romero fan, so I was delighted with that moment, as disturbing as it was. I'm a fan of Luke too, so that was a good moment also, but the finish was brutal.

Seeing an elite guy, and a future legend of the sport getting dismantled like that is a little upsetting - especially when you remember the old days of him being pretty much untouchable.

How times change!

JDS, although I'm getting used to it.

And Barão.

Lyoto - Dude seems like a genuinely nice and decent human being.
Mir- I'm not sure, but he always looks like his mind and heart are in completely difference places. From personal experience, that's a shitty place to be. I always feel for him.
