Fighters that you get mixed up with each other

I used to confuse Jon Jones with Rumble Johnson in their early UFC days..

I also still to this day get Ryan Bader and Matt Hamill mixed up..

And I used to get Tim Kennedy mixed up with Luke Rockhold...

Made me think.. do you guys ever do the same thing? I think I have seen people post similar mix ups and wonder why this happens in our stupid brains. lol.

You got to admit though, being an mma fan takes up a lot of space in our brains. We have hundreds of names and events and shit to remember and usually after a few years of serious mma study most people can recall all the important people and events. This is strange because in real life I have massive ADHD and can barely remember the names of people I work with.

Only natural that we get two guys confused from time to time. I guess in a way they are similar.. Jon and Rumble being two explosive black dudes with major talent.. Ryan and Matt just being sort of predicable mid-tier guys.. Tim and Luke coming from Strikeforce and being two tall brunette guys from California.

What are some fighters that you get mixed up? Any reason for this you think?

I used to also get Rockhold and Kennedy mixed up. Also Cole Miller and Evan Dunham, and Thiago Tavares and Thales Leites.

haha yeah. Until Luke won the fucking title I still confused them.

They just had the same aura and feel to them, idk.

Or how about Michael Chiesa and Court Mcgee. both hairy TUF winners that did very well for themselves aferwards.

It was when they were in Strikeforcd when I would confuse them. Also used to confuse Lauzon with Florian way back in the day.
