Hunt makes around 800k per fight. Hunt alone cannot carry a card.

He's headlined a UFC card 6 times, so I'd beg to differ.

Hunt isn’t big enough of a name to warrant that much on non PPV cards.

He does get paid a lot. Or does he? Maybe he gets paid right and it’s the others that get paid shit. There are certainly fighters out there that deserve a lot more than they get.

Literally none. They are paid below their worth. The whole point of the UFC is to make a profit. To do this they have to pay the fighters less than what they are worth. If they paid them what they are worth they wouldn't make profit. So there isn't a single fighter from Conor McGregor to the guys on $8K who are paid what they are worth.

Only one that stands out in my mind is Lombard.

Dude came over from Bellator making 6 figures per fight (300k or something for the Boetsch fight?) and never delivered. I have no idea what hes getting now but its probably still too much.

They all get paid too much. Fighters would put it all on the line and fight much more often if they only got 2k/2k per fight and their families were starving.

Conor. Made so much he doesn't have to fight and can act stupid

It is odd. He's 44, only won 1 of his last 4 plus he's suing them. Or maybe that last part has something to do with it.

This is the last sport on earth where we should be saying the guys are paid too much

hunt goes to hell every fight. he should get more.

Badminton.

For every mixed martial artist, there are millions of badminton players, and the best of them are infinitely better at badminton than mixed martial artists are at MMA.*

*I have no idea how much badminton players get paid and I know nobody watches badminton.

Not a lot of badminton players getting head kicked though

I would say Hunt earns his keep.

It's not just about what they bring in though. It's also about what they can get elsewhere. The UFC has to make make a decision as to whether or not they want to pay market value to keep a fighter on the roster.

In Hunt's case they decided he's worth it.
