Fighters that lost the Public’s support.

I liked Masvidal before he went on his run,and I became of course more of a fan as he rose up. Unlike most here,I didnt turn traitor, and will always remain a fan of his, even if I dont agree with some of the stuff he says or does.

Eh???

People dont hate Fedor because he lost. The people who dont like him are those long suffering bitches who were tired of him being the man and wanted him to lose, and never could be arsed to watch stuff from before TUF introduced them to the sport.

A lot of them also just weren't there for the era.

They see it all as fossils from the before time. It conflicts with their view of their modern fighter being the greatest of all time and the idea that a relic could be the GOAT in someone else's mind is "dumb".

Jorge Masvidal had a brief love affair with the fans after he murdered Askren , but by the time he retired the masses had turned on him
He's still loved just too much past his prime and keeps losing. Nobody follows a loser unfortunately.

Still surprises me when I see fans of Jon Jones and Conor McGregor honestly. I was a big fan of both, but can only take so many fuck ups.

I imagine people that are still fans of these two would still be fans if one of them murdered somebody.

I still hate Conor for beating up some of my favorite fighters and being a dick about it the whole time.
I was, am, and always will be a Jose Aldo fan. That said, they sequence Conor used to KO him was a thing of beauty; as was the Alvarez fight. Beyond that, there really aren’t much redeeming qualities for that little Irish turd.

The last TUF debut on cable was tuf 28 Bobby v Kelvin which was 186K views which appears to be the last publicly available numbers. The 294K for this one is a significant bump over that. I couldn't find figures last 2 on espn.

Conor has always had haters. People like you keep him relevant. It feels like every time things get quiet in the UFC this forum gets filled with posts of Conor's social media quickly.

Conor v Dustin did almost 1.8 million buys. It was reported Francis v Gane could only muster a few hundred thousand buys. I would say it is pretty clear Conor is by the far the UFC's biggest star.
No argument that he isn’t the biggest star; but also no doubt that he is no longer at his peak. You can label me a hater for stating objective reality, but it really only demonstrates how hard you are clenching onto his nuts.

Oh numbnuts, if only you were around to witness the hilarity of the lead-up to those fights, especially Aldo. Think about what "pampered ass clown" means.
Nice attempt at a diversion, you little bitch. You assume much and it truly leaves you looking like the dumbass bafoon that you are.

In recent times it's Paddy. He was likeable as an average fighter and crowd pleaser. But as soon as his actual personality started to come through. His arrogance is delusional. And the back to back douche moves.
Acting like he actually won his last fight easily and then deepthroating Dana on the awful podcast while going at Ariel (Who I utterly detest BTW), just left me looking at like a massive c*nt. It will never go away. I don't believe I am alone in feeling that way.

Next one is Honda. She was everyone's "she's obviously a bitch - but dayum son - she be badass.."... then over a very short space of time she became a "mental midget with a VERY limited skillset". It happened very quickly and was totally self inflicted.

Great points. Honda was definitely something special. She went from being the one to “take Floyd’s 0 in boxing” to hiding her face in a pillow after getting completely dominated and KO’d. I have a friend that was in love with her, and seeing his reaction to the Holly KO is something I’ll never forget. He still hasn’t gotten over it and “what could have been.”

Not being at his peak is a long way from "having lost public support". His still the biggest star and doing fine, he clearly still has public support as the biggest seller.

He went from fun and entertaining to crazy asshole. Things changed for me when he acted like an asshole with Ariel Helwani pretending to be his character from some shitty movie.

Yeah I’m pretty sure method acting isn’t required for a Kevin James movie.

Those are his own people and they now despise him when in 2015, he was a national hero and treasure. Coupled with the fact that I, and everyone I know, will no longer buy or go out of our way to watch him fight or on TUF and I’d say you are completely fine living in Never Never land while clutching Conor’s dick.
7 years ago, he was must-see-TV. Now, it’s almost like “who the fook is that guy.”

Well his TUF is almost 50% more popular than the last TUF which had ratings. Pretty good for a guy nobody is interested in. Conor has always had haters, it is part of his act.

If the lost public support is just not at the peak add people like Justin, Khabib, Max etc to the list. The list is pretty long for people are past their peak popularity.
