I'm not at a fan of Jon Anik. One of my most hated Aniksisms is his ridiculous overuse of the word "Patented".

"noun
the exclusive right granted by a government to an inventor to manufacture, use, or sell an invention for a certain number of years."

So rather than turning this into a weak-ass bitch fest, I thought it better to ask:
What exists in MMA that we can call genuine "Patented" (as per Anik bullshit) moves?
AKA genuine one offs, or moves that can attributed to one individual alone.

Machida's crane kick on Randy is the best I've got so far.

It's the way it was used as a snap front kick using the ball of the foot with your toes curled up, instead of the regular push teep kick that uses the whole foot instead from muay thai. It's a completely different kick because the mechanics of the strike is different from push to snap, and what part of the foot you use.

Yes, it's a front kick but the differences are in the details which most people will overlook.
