Here’s a few fighters I’ve come up with that are on good win streak but still don’t seem to be getting top match ups for whatever reason. Feel free to add some more you think have proven they need a step up in competition.

Rustam Khabilov- 6 fight win streak, last loss was a split decision and before that was to then top contender Benson Henderson. He’s currently scheduled to fight Carlos Diego Ferreira on a prelim fight this weekend.

Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos - 6 fight win streak with several highlight reel finishes. Lone UFC loss was a split decision in his debut. Currently scheduled to fight Curtis Millender in a couple weeks.

Vicente Luque - Won 8 of his last 9 with all finishes. Coming off a fight of the year candidate. No fight scheduled.

Michel Prazeres- 8 fight win streak. Had some weight issues but moved up to 170 and is 2-0 there. Facing late notice replacement Ismail Naurdiev this weekend.

Mairbek Taisumov - 6 Fight win streak with several highlight reel wins. Issues with his visa seem to be holding him back. No fight scheduled.

James Krause- 5 fight win streak. No fight scheduled.

6-0 un the UFC and finished his last 5 opponents.

Cm punk ... give him someone he's not gonna be scared of doing damage to... they've just put amateurs and children against him. We've already seen what he can do on the world level.

He did give former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar, all he could handle there.

but ...but...Dana gives Israel a title shot

John Lineker. His only defeat at 135 is against the current champ, but can't get a fight in the top 5. It seems that every top dog in the division is ducking him

It's often said fighters are ready for a "step up" in competition but the reality is what we mean is these fighters are deserving of more marketing and attention. There is exactly zero incentive for an established name to fight an unknown. They have nothing to gain and everything to lose. There needs to be a balance where winning moves you up the hierarchy and you can't stay in that position based on name value alone.
