News Fighters Removed: Javid Basharat, Alex Morono

And then get rid of it.

WMMA sucks, point blank period.

The FLW division can get gone as well. The elites can move up to BW and the remainder can try their hand as horse jockeys.
agreed 100%, problem is they went too far with it, now they can't cut it.

consolidate it all, find some big booty fighters, hope they twerk win or loss after fights.

no weight classes for men under 140-145 IMO. you have LW, then a weight class under it. maybe not feather, but stop calling it feather too.

would be much better product, less bloat, more interest.

Can agree with the Javid cut. He left on a win and often had entertaining fights. But yeah he did underperform to what was expected.

15-2 Javid Basharat cut even after a recent impressive (I thought) win? Can someone explaining this to me? Despite his previous two losses, he's very high level. I could name 50 + male fighters on the current UFC roster worse than Javid. I don't get it.

Oh well, looking forward to watching him fight for PFL.
His head is just too big for mma, that melon is a huge ass target. Would never make it vs top 5 sadly

Yeah cut those two but leave Jailton Snoozefest Almeida and all the fat blobs smearing fat steamy shits on the heavyweight division.
Also don't cut fighters who fight once a year.
<goldie>

Going through his record he actually did get on a few different win streaks but mostly all boring decisions. Evolev is another one 9 fights and one bonus and peeps are crying he's not getting a TS? lol
You do realize Evo beat the guy who just got done with his second TS? He also beat Aljo. Give the man his groceries. They cut Basharat and Tai was just fighting on the main card. Have you seen his record?

Call me crazy but I'd rather watch Basharat fight than Tai. I don't agree with the sentiment on here.

I think Basharat got to the end of his contract and is making peanuts
Welcome to the PFL, they start having a fun BW roster

Right... cut Basharat. The fighter who was part of the most exciting fight on the entire card. Makes sense

He barely beat a debuting journeyman on a few days notice. That was not a good performance by any means and I'm not suprised he is not resigned after it being his only W in three years.

Javid was probably at the end of his contract and the UFC just said no thanks to resigning him. Morono should retire.

My thinking as well, they've seen enough of Javid to know you're looking at a guaranteed decision every single time he fights - his brother is more or less the same but at least he's not been around as long and is still unbeaten. Good fighters, the brothers, but kinda dull.

Morono 100% should retire, I'd imagine Niko Price will be gone this week too.

He nearly got KO'd by a short-notice, regional fighter and is largely a decision machine. I don't think they've been impressed with him since he lost his undefeated record, or at the very least since Ricky Simon KO'd him.

Morono was fun to watch. Mixed it up, liked to scrap and get beat up. JBG honorable mention
Just look up his Fight Finder pic and it sums it all up.

Sucks though. He is on a 4 fight losing streak, so I guess we can't complain too much. His last fight was such a huge display of heart and fighter spirit though. Also, there are stll plenty of fighter that are worse than him or simply are less entertaining/interesting on the roster. But who knows, maybe he wanted to retire anyway. We don't know the details.

I think Basharat's attitude played into the decision as well. Isn't he the guy that nut kicked Henry into the hospital, and then talked shit about it? I think I remember seeing him be unnecessarily shitty and disrespectful to other opponents, and wouldn't doubt that he had that sort of attitude towards UFC staff.

He wanted a retirement fight after the shellacking he just took, UFC obviously said no.

It's a sensible cut all things considered, dude's pretty much a punching bag nowadays and on a skid, served his purpose in terms of giving a TUF winner a name on his record
