Elkins has a better claim for a title-shot than Stephens. Stephens lost against Edgar and Moicano not too long ago.

Stephens is on a 3-fight streak, Elkins on a 6-fight streak against better competition.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a number 5 that had to beat number 4, 2, and 1, as well as a guy from a lower weight division to get a shot. When it appears the champion intends to vacate. If you find proof to the contrary. By all means, post it.
