Many have said that DC wouldn't fight at HW because his team mate Cain Velasquez was there. I agree with that. However, Cain is currently not champ and most likely won't get a shot for a while. DC could have great success at HW. I believe that if Cain and DC fought, DC would win; DC has a better chin, better wrestling, and better striking.

So, if Cain somehow fights for the belt and loses, thus no chance of him being the champ, DC could go up to HW and get an immediate titles hot since after fighting Volkan Oezdemir at LHW and beat either Ngannou or Stipe. DC has fought heavy hitters and his wrestling has helped him put defeat them. I don't see Jones coming back anytime soon so DC is safe. Plus, with no one really left at LHW he could spend most of his time defending HW.

And DC is one of the few UFC fighters who could not only win 2 belts but could also defend both successfully.

Anyone disagree with me?

Now? I don't think he beats Ngannou or stipe.

He shot down fighting at HW in the UFC 220 press conference, and I can see why. He's older, near retirement, and fighting at HW would give him more damage than if he stayed at LHW. Rumble and Jones already gave him a shit ton of damage. Imagine what Stipe, Ngannou, Reem, Werdum's knees, and JDS can do. Even if he can win, it doesn't seem worthwhile to him anymore.

Prime HW DC though...

Everyone needs to calm down DC is nearly 40 and just got knocked out cold in his last fight.

Lol just stop.not even Dc himself believe that he can beat ngannou or stipe.
And the only heavyhitter dc fought is a lhw.

Roided Bigfoot and Roy Nelson are hard hitting heavyweights.

Cormier is older now, and would have to put on weight. Hard to do when you're nearing retirement age. JDS and Stipe are a step up in competition too.

dc fought old hw and couldn't finish any.

Cormier was an undefeated beast at heavy... Might be a contender. But don't see him beating Stipe or Ngannou. Not saying I wouldn't like to see it.

sure he could grab the hw title, but actually defending both simultaneously? never.

he has enough trouble making 205. then you want him to put on 30+ pounds to face the hw champ, and then drop back down to 205 to defend the lhw title? not happening.

Y'all are crazy, DC is at the end of his career and has 3 fights left max then retires. Might get defeated his next fight even though I don't think so but a fights a fight and he himself said he wants no part of Ngannou/Stipe and he doesn't strike me as the guy to move up a weightclass to have a fun fight and then leave Won't happen.

The other guy was saying he only fought one heavy hitter, which I'm assuming he was talking and Rumble. I was clarifying that he has fought more than one guy with power.

I don't believe Stipe or JDS is a step up in competition. I can't stand Jones, but he is a very skilled fighter. They are just bigger, younger guys. If DC was in his early 30's, I'd bet the house on DC against any heavyweight in the history of mma, including Fedor.I actually think DC beats JDS right now.

That hurts to say because JDS is my favorite heavyweight ever. I think he's shot<DCrying>

I don't think DC would beat Stipe. He has better boxing and the wrestling background to nullify DC's takedowns.

I'd like to see it just so I could lmao at the size difference between DC and Franc
