We are at the halfway point of the year, so who are the early front-runners for fighter of the year?

With another win I think Wonderboy, Stipe, and Bisping could all be candidates when the time comes. All 3 have won 2 big fights so far this year and with a 3rd win will defend their belt or win the belt in Wonderboy's case.

He beat Anderson Silva and took the MW title so far this year. Stipe is close, maybe Lawler with another couple of big wins, or maybe Thompson if he beats Lawler, but so far, you can't really give it to anyone but Bisping.

I think Bisping's case is much stronger since he was viewed as nothing more than a gatekeeper. At least, everyone's acknowledged Stipe's and Thompson's apparent talent.

Bisping has beaten Silva & Rockhold, Holloway has beaten Lamas. Good win for Holloway but not enough to get him on fighter of the year being his only win.
