Fight Pass cancellation problems

So last year I bought a 1 year subscription for fightpass, by mistake, I selected one month option, then i updated my credit card info and without me noticing it, the system automatically changed it to 1 year,and I was already charged when I noticed it. So this year I wasn't sure when my 1 year is up, but I figured I will just use my reward points for subscription if it ends, but the ufc of course automatically renewed my subscription for 1 year. I immediately canceled it, they send me an email that they hate to se me go and
''Please note that your subscription will remain active until the expiration of your free trial or until the end of your paid monthly subscription cycle''
So I think they charge me monthly and because I cancelled it, it will end this month, but no they charged for the hole year and it ends on april 2017.
I mean is this robbery or what ?

Anyway is there any way to solve this problem ? I guess I have to contact ufc via phone or mail ?

If you used a credit card try contacting them prior to making the payment.

I cancelled after one week and saw a charge on my credit card and my cc company took care of it. But to be fair, idk if the initial charge I saw was an actual charge or a hold on my account like the way rental car companies do.
