Alot of records broken, Brazil had the most goals scored against ever, I believe the most goals scored in the whole tournament also. Alot of overtimes and penalty shootouts. Not just because it won the tournament but Gotze's goal was just incredible at the angle he hit it. For me its 2nd behind Van Persie's header. Overall one of the best Ive seen.

It ended tied with France because the ko stage was very lousy.

Also most penalty shootouts were 0-0 games and many other games ended with a score in the last 10 min of extra times , thats what kills it for me.

Brazil perfomance is going to live for the ages.

Not sure i agree with this. Atlest brazil will remember the semifinal game for pretty long time.

I'll try and catch the big fights on a card and I used to try and catch the prelims and everything else too, but now I dn't even care if I miss it as a gif is fine for me lol.

Well no but add the fact that Spain (reigning world champs and euro champs), Italy, England, Portugal, hell even Ivory Coast went out (they had good team for 2 WC's now, Drogba and co, last tournament for them) in group stage. Alot of upsets early on and ofc in the semifinal, no one saw that happening to Brazil.

Best extratime goes to Belgium-USA.
