I add:
- First time an European NT win a WC in America
- First WC won by unified Germany

Group Stage was the best eva since USA 1994 (I dunno before), KO Stage was meh with some stinkers like NED-ARG ... even the final wasn't a fireworks show but is a bit understandable.

Marco Reus and Gundogan must have mixed feelings right about now. They would of been stars in this world cup. Shame.
 
Die Nationalmannschaft proabably ran a train on rihanna. certainly would not suprise me.

Was a fun WC. Even though the final 4 teams were traditional power houses, was great to see teams like Colombia, Costa Rica, Algeria, and USA have good showings. The playing field feels more level.

Interesting to see what changes, Brazil, Spain, Italy, and England make down the road for the next WC.

to me 2014 was the BEST WORLD CUP I followed.

good games & the belgiums first time in 12 years they joined and got very far :D
beat USA :icon_lol:


The previous one with the Vuvuzela's & more boring games was less interesting, still good but not that good as this one.
2006 I liked too
2002 I was at school so not much time to follow it :(

Probably not currently, but a 3 or so years back it could easily be argued. The status of the league isn't primarily due to the English players, though.
 
I'm glad Argentina got besmirched in true German fashion by a late goal. Dem Argentinians played dirty as hell.

World Cup was sick, can't wait for the next one.
