Is your source a single tweet from a Twitter account of a bar room brawls fan?

Dude, if he got busted it would have been everywhere.
Calm down, Hetty.

Been busy grafting at work during Tourney. Never bothered to follow up.

we can be honest, no you wouldn't lol

And this "Messi didn't do a damn thing the whole tournament" thing is so bizarre. He scored 4 goals, caused another, gave a vital assist, and ran his teams midfield and attacking half into a WC final. I just don't get how you can say he did "nothing".

are you seriously saying that he deserved it?

jesus fucking christ and people call me a fanboy LOL

Sure as hell Robben didn't either.

Rodriguez should have won it, but I guess it would have looked bad having one man with two awards.

And Muller couldn't score against "The better teams". Neither could Robben. Muller choked hard today, yet he's received no criticism and has even been suggested by others as being the best player of the competition.

I'm all for criticism and discussion, but it has to apply to everyone. The same people that are ardent that Messi isn't the best nor that he doesn't deserve the accolade apply standards to him that they do not to others, inherently elevating his position in their own rhetoric, ergo, inadvertently admitting he is indeed the best.

Messi didn't score in the knockouts, muller did. Doesn't matter about the award anyway, it's more or less meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

James was the most impressive player for me, but didn't get far enough in the tournament to be considered.

'82 for me but this one took it close, like real close.

I'm not saying he deserved it, I'm just saying the reasons people are giving for him not deserving it are pretty short-sided.

Look how upset and emotional you are at the concept of the only offensively efficient player on the world cup runners up could possibly be the best player of the competition.

You just said someone who is on a 5 game scoring drought should win over him.

In NO Particular Order :

- Dino Zoff (Italy)
- Gordon Banks (England)
- Lev Yachine (Russia)
- Gianluigi Buffon (Italy)
- Peter Schmeichel (Denmark)
- Oliver Kahn (Germany)
- Iker Casillas (Spain)
- Sepp Maier (Germany)

Muller scored a goal against an abysmal Brazil.

Kroos had more to do with that goal than Muller did. I'd put him above Muller performance wise, considering he was the one who orchestrated that besmirching.

Feel bad for Messi.

Great player, better person.

Only reason people shit on him is the retards calling him the GOAT.
