Best English team ever? They managed to shut mbappe off, they were very dangerous, I honestly think that even if France doesn't win the whole thing, we just saw the real final, first time I respect an English national team, you have a future with Saka and Bellingham, unlike Belgium, Spain or Germany

Why, didn't your team just lose?

And in reality he’s a fucking idiot who is absolutely terrible at his job

England played well against the world champs. Southgate didn't tell Kayne to choke. Kane usually makes his penalties.

But hey go ahead and do the college football thing, cancel the suscessful coach for underacheiving and replace him with a can.

Ahhh, ok. France has been the only true dominant side from the start.

Honestly though they didnt look that great to me here, a couple of well taken goals(and one good save for pickford) but really it was only early on I felt they really looked that dominant.

After that they went missing for large parts of their game(ironically very England like after taking an earlyish lead) and their defence looked pretty questionable, a lot of wild challenges that they only got away with due to a pen miss and several bad reffing calls.

There looked like their was a lot of potential for this WC hit the heights performance wise after the second round games but really I think it was mostly unrealised in the QF's, At least England/France was a genuinely good game though, others were dramatic but ultimately not of a very hard standard.
