Oof that’s an eternal discussion, the span of yellows imo is too big as they award yellows for absolutely brutal fouls often (instead of reds), but also for tactical reasons, delay of game and other tricky tack bullshit. Usually no one cares until someone gets his second yellow. Strictly by the rules two yellows were probably ok for the guy, but another ref might have handled it differently.
