There was a lot of back and forth leading up to it, some pre-match comments. Not sure what started all of it off however. The dutch were pretty douchey themselves throughout.

I think it was all due to some comments made by Van Gaal before the match. Well, I don't like Argentina, but Van Gaal is a fucking loudmouthed arrogant mong and he has always been like that. He was incredibly hated here back in the days when he managed Barcelona in the late 90s because of that and hasn't changed a bit. Glad to see him humilliated, won't lie.
