Looking more into Morocco. They won 1 African cup in the 70s. Their resume isn't that great.

Cameroon(Etos country) has won 5 African Cups. They also won the Olympics.

England bottle it again

At least they kneeled before the game and really stuck it to the Qataris. Not a total loss here.

You're from Wales bro, i will be fine in a week you yet, will still be from fucking Wales lmaoooo

It's gonna take you a week to get over Ronaldo getting booted out of the WC?

LMAO

yeah because i was expecting it lmao

i predicted a quarter final exit against Spain or Germany, turns out it was fucking Morrocco but still. Fucking knew Santosball wasn't winning anything, unlike my british friends who still thought it was coming home with Southgate terrorism {<jordan}

Loved the English reaction to Germany crashing out early but France sending them home should be even better...... if I spoke French anyways

Hopefully Morocco can cause the upset and we get them in the final.

Would be absolutely nuts.

Argentina have turned me off with how disrespectful they've been. They were my tip and I was cheering them on but God damn...

Croatia vs Morocco final pls.

i want to see marocco vs croatia final. messi and his tounting dutch coach is cazy while messi try to play clean persona

I agree these were the 2 best teams in the tournament. England(except Kane) has nothing to be ashamed of. But I think as far as QF failures go 70 and 02 teams were better. 70 they lost 1-0 to 70 Brazil and in 02 they lost 2-1 to 02 Brazil. England has a nasty habit of drawing the best team in the QF otherwise they'd have more deep runs.

66-70 England was probably their best era because they had Gordon Banks. Didn't need to score very many goals to win with him.
England were dreadful most of the tournament. The hell are you on about?

Ronaldo ended his career with less world cup knockout stage goals than Matthew Upson.

Let that sink in

As fun a stat as that is really I think the idea of the super player who wins a WC single handed is a bit of an outdated concept, if it even existed much at all.

Maradona in 86 really I think is the only example that comes that close to fitting the bill and whilst he was obviously a great player that was a bit of a freak occurrence, someone scoring goals like that against England and Belgium, the kind of goals a great player might score every couple of years normally.

Whilst the WC has more romance to it honestly I think the domestic game has been the peak of the sport for a very long time, Brazil in 2002 and Spain in 2010 could maybe claim to be better than any club side I spose but generally its not the case anymore.

Really winning titles domestically in big European leagues and the European cup are the greatest judge of a players sucess.

They scored 13 goals and conceded 4, 2 to France. They got narrowly beat by the team that's probably going to win the tournament. If not for the draw they would have made the semis or finals just like they did in 18 and 20. So no this team was really good just like the 70,86 and 02 teams were.

Like all those teams they just happened to run into the best team(or in 86s case best player) early. They were not "dreadful".

But hey you watch a lot more soccer than I do, so your irrational anger is inherently based.
