Just a thought I had after seeing Conor tapping quickly to Nates choke and Holm going unconscious because she was willing to die before giving up. I know there are some male fighters who wont tap either, but have you ever even seen a woman fighter tapping to strikes in the UFC or in Invicta? I havent or at least cant remember.

I believe they are mentally tougher on average. Remember, they give birth, lol.

Here is Miesha herself letting her arm getting broke rather than giving up. No matter what people think of womens fighting skills, no-one can deny their heart.

Could be, women have that Baby delivery thing built into there genetics..

Yes, I don't think any man out there would give birth.

I'd like to see a man out there man enough to cut open their stomach then stitch it back up.

Other than Ronda, women fighters are usually less ego driven. And if you've ever been in a gym training with big egos, you will see that the more humble student learns faster. The big egos we see at the top make up 1% of the other big egos that simply crash, burn and crack in the gym.

i assume being surrounded by physically imposing people who want to have sex with you would toughen you up mentally

They probably have a higher pain tolerance and they're not afraid of blood.

Cuck thread.

Well thought out retort. I think it comes down mostly to the individual we have all seen fighters who just have that IT factor and do things beyond comprehension.

Mental toughness can't be judged by sex. It's an individual thing and I think that most fighters have that toughness.

The only fighter that I think that I have ever seen with zero mental toughness is Ronda but I don't think that has anything to do with being a woman

I agree with other posters that it is an individual thing. There are some fighters that can shake off adversity during a fight and continue pushing forward, and some that panic when things don't go their way. It depends on the person. We saw an example of one of the most mentally tough fighters in the sport with Diaz. Have we ever seen him not fight through adversity and mentally wilt? You can also easily argue that Miesha is as mentally tough as they come.

Can you give some examples of female fighters tapping to strikes? Lets say Strikeforce, Invicta and UFC level...

Nope. But if you're trying to quantify something like toughness by using a select few examples you don't have a strong argument.

How many male fighters have you seen tap to strikes? Let's say 3 or 4. Does that enable you to make the generalization that female fighters are tougher than male fighters?

Obviously there are some female fighters that are indeed tougher than male fighters. Say, Miesha Tate vs Brandon Thatch.

Maybe 3 or 4 of the top of my head but Im pretty sure there have been plenty more. And yes, it actually is a legit argument if we cant name ANY example in top level WMMA.
