Fedor's sparring partners may b right idea

Please he had no big names and lost to Volkov and a NC w Latifi. Then he ran away for WSOF when he could have continued in Bellator.

The Blagoy hype train is ridiculous.

You know that Blagoi was nearly stabbed to death with a sword and nearly flatlined in a month long coma and came back to fight professionally and went 6-1 in Bellator and lost to Volkov and Laiffi who are both solid fighters.

You act like Blagoi is some bum because of that.

Sambo has good fighters and they might not be the level of western MMA top 10s but some of them are very good fighters and sparring partners. Its just that if you're Fedor just them isnt enough and you need to branch out.

Volkovs not an embarrassing loss. You can otherwise argue that he didn't have strong opposition, but against who he was given to fight, he did just fine.

Fedor's training partners are not amateurs.
Most of them are combat sambo/judo/wrestling/boxing champions in Russia, and professional dutch kickboxers in the Netherlands.

While Sambo/Judo/Wrestling are "amateur" sports, to be a champion, and particularly in Russia, you have to be very high level and train like a professional, on par with most olympic athletes.

His stable is full of fighters that could easily cut into the UFC.
Fedor's combat sambo club is the number one ranked club in the number one ranked oblast' (state) of all Russia, above and beyond Dagestan (where Khabib's club is).
And just look at all the russian fighters now in the UFC that come from Khabib's club.

To adress the "size" issue; he has been training with guys like Sidelnikov, Minakov, Nemkov, Mokhnatkin, Aleksander (in the past), etc, etc. They are not Bigfoot, of course (because where are you going to get a guy with acromegaly?), but they are quite large. And most dutch kickboxers who help him train, make him look tiny for the most part.
