Fedor vs Mir Official for April 21st

Emelianenko is a wasted acquisition if all he's going to be booked in are fights he's going to lose against other washed up UFC heavyweights.

After getting embarrassed by Maldonado and Mitrione, they needed to throw a Emelianenko a high-profile gimme bout against Sonnen.

It also wouldn't have hurt if they signed a young, high-potential heavyweight prospect to be in the tournament. It seems like whoever wins this thing is either going to be retired within a couple of years or on their way back to the UFC.

Fedor wins: "OMG he just beat another UFC champ!" (neglecting the fact that Mir has been past his prime for several centuries)

Mir wins: "Doesn't count, Fedor is wayyy past his prime."

So its impossible to just enjoy the fight for what it is?

Love it. Huge fan of both guys.

I think they both might've declined equally at this point. Although both men are shells of their former selves, I wonder if this fight will still be a good indication of how they would've matched up in their primes.

Picking Mir via sub on this one. I think Fedor drops him, follows him to the ground and gets caught.

I really have no idea though. Fedor via KO would not surprise me in the slightest either.

Looking forward to this one, even if it's a decade late.

I don't think anyone is looking at it that, way it's just a fun idea to see heavyweight legends fights , even if they're out of their prime.

This is the best fight for Mir's legacy! His list of victories will be perfect after he taps Fedor the fuck out!

Honestly this fight is 50/50 for me. Fedors quicker but mir still has good ground skills and is bigger and also hits hard. I think fedor is the more dangerous overall fighter right now but really can not predict based on the match up. Wouldn't be shocked if the winner wins the tourney either. This whole thing is so up in the air to me.

Try harder

Like nobody ever mention Rizzo as one of Fedor's "name" wins, and that was 6 years ago

I don't have to try. It's well documented that Fedor's fans give him full credit over former UFC fighters losing to him while their careers are on a slide(like Sylvia just to name one) but act as if they were still prime.

the Battle of the "You Should Have Retired Five Years Ago" Guys

I would rather see Fedor vs Rampage.

more interested how out of shape and fat frank Mir will show up
