So,since there are lots of threads in the prime vs prime department i decided to start one with two pioners of the sport. How do you think it would go today after almost 2 decades of since they first set foot in the ring/octagon.
 
Fedor has s 68% chance of beating Stipe. I think its about 62% for CroCop

Lol dude. Stipe would absolutely wreck Fedor.

Cro Cop would probably win if they were to fight now.

You're acting like Mirko has a granite chin or something. Fedor could just as easily knock him out.

My take is it wasnt an easy fight for Fedor then and wont be an easy fight for him now.
 
i watched mirko in rizin, he doesnt look as good as people are saying on here. hes on a nice streak but fedor can still KO him with a big punch at this point. cro cop has more mobility and speed right now but the power goes to fedor and mirkos chin is just as bad as fedors too

its a close fight

I just think Mirko has more in the tank. Specially if he looks well "supplemented" like he has been lately.

Fedor headhunting brawler style with zero head movement and chin up (which he adopted back in 08´) is ideal for Mirko straight left hand.

Prime vs prime I pick Fedor. I just think Mirko is better at this stage.
 
Fedor already knows how to beat mirko who isn't nearly as dangerous now. Would watch.
 
I'd pick Mirko, dude looks like a proper HW now...jacked as.

In like 2010 99% of people wouod have picked Fedor.

Before the Mir fight I think 90% would pick crocop.

Now Fedor is favourite again?
Pretty funny.

Fedor is GOAT and amazing but he is totally and completely shot....Mirko has more left in the tank....altho he is also shot.
 
Fedor could just as easily knock the steroid guzzling Mirko the fuck out. Fedor floored Mitrione with one shot on the chin. Slept Mir with a backing up, left, shovel hook. He has the kind of power which could KTFO a 43 year man like Mirko whos chin has been through close to 100 fights. Mirko could obviously knock Fedor out too but to me its a 50/50 fight. It wasnt an easy fight for Fedor in 2005 and it wont be an easy fight now.

Mirko wouldn't accept Fedors game like the rest......he wouldn't brawl with him and potentially got caught....plus he would totally outpower Fedor this time and I dont think Fedor would have any advantage in clinch or on the ground this time like he had in 2005......so only chance Fedors got is to catch Mirko with some punch.........and dont bring steroids cause Mirko never failed any test......the reality is that Mirko is a quite favourite in this fight.....

Mirko's recent revival has basically been vs wrestlers which is really well suited for his current form, up against big hitters though I still think his loss of speed and with it defence would be found out.

Would be ironic really, the first fight is arguably the best display of striking defence in MMA history from both men, the second fight would be who falls over first.
 
Cro Cop would destroy Fedor now. In the first fight Mirko didnt develop a grappling game and would shy away from any grappling. Nowadays Mirko is just as dangerous in the clinch as in striking and doesn't care if it goes to the ground. He's very well rounded. Not to much Mirko is stronger than Fedor. Fedor is a headhunter and all those loopy punches is perfect for Mirko to light him up
