Fedor strengths and weaknesses and his skillset in the UFC today (Long Thread)

Mirko was the top HW after Fedor (him or Nogueira after Fedor) yet he got embarrassed in the UFC...

That's what happens when weak competition + drugs allow you to be competitive.

What's even more funny is that Mirko was bad even before UFC signed with USADA (2015) <36>

I mean some drug testing was already too much for him...

Mark Hunt wasn't the best in Japan, but at least he was decent in the UFC (basically one of the only HW who didn't embarrass himself in the UFC).

Likely because he didn't cheat that much in Japan.
 
Former Pro wrestler Brock Lesnar won a title in the ufc. Imagine if that happened in Pride, the ufc shills would never shut up about it

Big Nog was champion in the UFC.

Fedor smashed everyone who held the UFC belt during his era, excluding Randy.

Hunt did well in the UFC considering his age.

Werdum who lost to Nog and Sergei in Pride was a UFC champion by destroying Cain.

Guys like Stipe built his so called "HW GOAT" resume on wins over guys from this era.

Overeem who was nothing special in Pride smashed ex UFC Champions Brock and JDS.

Anderson Silva who was getting mopped by LW and WW Japanese cans in Pride came to the UFC and became the most dominant champion ever.

Shogun who wasnt even the champion in Pride came to the UFC and smashed the champion Lyoto who looked to be unbeatable at the time.

Rampage came from Pride and beat the shit out of Liddell for the second time.

There are countless examples of Pride guys doing well in the UFC and becoming champions or title contenders.


But Fedor who was the most dominant Pride fighter ever sucks.

I'll do you one better - picture Pride was a promotion run by pro wrestling guys who would have blatant worked pro wrestling matches on Pride shows? Imagine if THAT happened?

I never had an issue with the pro wrestling culture they promoted Pride with. Part of the spectacle. Was a non issue to me.

Brock wrestled his whole life and won the UFC in his 2nd year of pro fighting. Nogueira won the Pride 2 years after his pro debut and Fedor won it just under 3 years. None of that sounds wild to me.

People seem to forgot what happened as soon as Crocop stepped state side in a sanctioned fight, against a gatekeeper no less.

They went from absolutely no drug testing in Japan to only some drug testing in the US...

Imagine a dork who just posts pictures of bad moments fighters have to make them look bad. Cop had 150 fights between Pride, K-1 and amateur boxing by the time he came to the UFC and he had mixed results there. He won some and lost some in UFC. So did everyone else. He also won and lost on Pride. This happens in fighting. If you weren't a couch dwelling, saturated fats guzzler you would understand this without posting pictures like a childish little rat. Smh.

Mirko and Nog had 35 MMA fights before they came to the UFC plus Mirko had 30 K1 fights in the toughest K1 era ever. Show me one fighter who didn't have an "average" record after 30+ fights.

Cain and JDS didn't even make it to 30 fights.

Cain is 1-2 after turning 33 and retired.

JDS is 3-5 since turning 33 with 5 of those losses coming by KO.

But Nog and Mirko coming to the UFC at 33 years old should be different?

What absurd standards you have. Dishonest toxic little rat lol

And when people bring up how Roy Nelson beat Cro Cop and Nog, be sure to remind them that Nelson has lost to many PRIDE fighters: Sergei, Werdum, Overeem, Hunt, Barnett and Cro Cop in the rematch.
