Fedor In Negotiations with The UFC

Oh it is a sport! I am not and will never argue that!
But I just argue that entertainment and popularity can earn you title shots over actual fight record.
I also hate that fights like Dada5000 vs Kimbo gaining "big" views.
To me it seems a lot of fans wants to be entertained more than see who is actually the best.
Of course I understand that! But still..... *wah wah wah*

well I have an idea for a fan thing. I actually was in talks with Crave a few years back.
A former company I worked for developed a 3D avatar system. Human like not manga/fantasy.
So my pitch was to let people create their own fighter, either looking like them self or like their favourite fighter. You could also design your own outfits and so on.
Crave could get it on pure revenue share but said no. My understanding (a fw years back) was that they did not really give a shit about the forum and put all focus on the main site.

A lot want to see it, but it meant more 7 years ago & he has said this before (only to go fight cans).
It seems like he uses the publicity of "negotiating with UFC" to keep his name out there.
There is no chance he will get a title shot in his first UFC fight though.

I agree with that but I could see them doing a 3 fight deal where he fights a top 10 then a top 5 if he wins then the champion. Fedor seems to value respect more than most other fighters though and the way the UFC negotiates doesn't help with that.

No idea what UFC might offer, but Fedor seems to be asking for a title fight & getting his fans worked up.

I agree a title shot right away wouldn't happen but if he got a 2-3 fight deal I could see them giving him one in his second or third fight. That all depends if they can even come to an agreement on how many fights and how restrictive the contract can be.

Why would UFC pay this irrelevant guy who is more than 6 years past his prime anything? He should have to go through TUF and do 4 fights on FightPass prelims for 12k show/win to prove he's serious.

As far as him fighting Maldonado, I don't see why people are mad because those two are pretty much on the same level so it makes sense.

Guess he does but I'm sure the ufc can't or won't sign someone still under contract with another org which is what most people here fail to recognize. They tried it with rampage recently and it didn't work out.

100% agree.
Rizins contracts are not exclusive so Fedor can fight for that Russian promotion.
But as long as Fedor has another contract UFC will not sign him.
