2) compared to fedor, Roger is young and green

3) Roger probably does have a lot of time to train and has his brothers for training partners and other top grapplers,
but most adcc competitors do not have fedor's $$$ to get the BEST in the world to train them on regular basis all day long, and they are usually young and green because those that "been there/done that" in grappling move on to MMA mostly.

4) fedor is not getting enough respect from you for his grappling, considering that he is a world champion in a grappling art, and pulls armbars and kimuras out of his a$s at the speed of light in nearly every fight vs top fighters in the world.

fedor was not in any trouble with Hunt.



p.s. fedor had a fully locked in and extended armbar right at the start, he waited for the tap not wanting to break Hunt's arm, and paid the price for his good sportsmanship because Hunt didn't tap. (unless Fedor is lying his ass off about that)

In the eyes of adcc fans nobody that hasn't yet been in the finals of adcc can win it.

Any grappler you can think of right now that hasn't been in finals of adcc yet is going to get "raped", "destroyed" and "humiliated" by the previous winners of adcc just because...


Another contributing reason is that fedor is not bjj, wrestler or catch wrestler. He doesn't strike adcc fans with his amazing positioning, he doesn't engage guys like Coleman and Lindland head on in a test of strenght and doesn't grab on to any limb that's over-extended. He also gives his back a lot and doesn't bother with the sprawl much allowing people to take him down.
In the eyes of noob fans that translates into fedor losing in adcc. While they don't realize that looks is not everything, and that fedor is very well balanced and diverse in his many grappling skills. he can change depending on who his opponents are.

Fedor will NEVER win ADCC because he will NEVER compete in it. For whatever reason that is, money, personal interest or whatever, he has NEVER COMPETED in ADCC and never will. And IF he does he will get past the first guy or two maybe but he will NOT win any ADCC titles. You don't train, you don't know what your talking about, your obsession with Fedor makes you look like an idiot and your post prove that your an idiot. You have NO idea what the word grappling means, you don't know the difference between GI and NO GI competitions, you are a blind Fedor nuthugger that is in denial that Hunt had him in trouble. Look at how Hunt was applying the Americana (or ude garami for judo folks), there was no way that was going to work. And when Hunt started to shift it in the right direction Fedor immediately powered out. If someone like Big Nog had Fedor in that position it'd have been dangerous, but Big Nog was never able to get Fedor there.

Fedor did with Hunt the same thing he did with Coleman's RNC in their first fight ... keep cool and wait it out. That's one of the things that makes him so deadly in MMA, he never panics, never reacts to submissions which aren't going anywhere.

But he'd still lose in ADCC ... ADCC rules are too different from judo, sambo, and MMA rules (the styles he's mastered). It'd take him awhile to learn to play to the new rules, and I doubt it be worth it for him - it'd be a huge paycut. How many of us leave a job for one paying 1/10th as much?

ADCC is just one kind of grappling, and the guys who win it specialize in it. No olympic medalists in judo or wrestling have won ADCC. No ADCC winners have won olympic gold in judo or wrestling either. At that level you have to specialize ... if you want to win olympic gold in judo, you specialize in judo. If you want to win olympic gold in wrestling, you specialize in wrestling. If you want to become ADCC champ, you specialize in ADCC. Rules make sports, and to become champ you have to play to those rules.

Moreover, I doubt any ADCC champ has ever tried out for an olympic team, and I doubt any olympic gold medal winner has ever tried to qualify for the ADCC. At that level, you can't spend time away from training to try different sports just for kicks.
