JJones is hated for several reasons. People love it for some reasons too.
The love and the hate influence the people, not Fedor. Fedor has nothing to do with this guy.
This guy (Jon Jones) could have gone to HW long time ago, and he chose not to. He dominated in LHW and he was comfortable there and didn't push his limits. So if he loses, wins or whatever it doesn't matter with the HW history. HW history its different, and JJones history won't be judged by his HW record, because this HW journey comes late on his career and not at the peak of his abilities and confidence. The opponents on HW had changed a lot too.Not even the dominators HW had in the last few years. The HW championship is available for somebody to grab it, and try to mantain at the top.

Funny thing about the psychology of fanboys is the contradiction.

They are the first ones slagging off a 'rival' fighter being past it, looking like crap recently and that's why he will lose badly.

Then if it happens they also are the first ones to dump on a fighter's legacy based on that loss, completely ignoring the context that they just put out themselves. Because in the end they only care about using ammo.

One of the reasons I stopped being a fan of fighters. You get dragged into weird cults online.

So for 13 years Fedor fans have been trolled by Jones fans, and others, over his losses despite him being past it. But when other, older fighters lose they are supposed to be honest, gracious, and respectful? Lol. I don't think that's how it works.

Not really. Fedor fans don't really care who does what or achieves whatever. Fedor is best HW for them and that is the end all be all. I just think it is funny that Bader is back to bum status but he was a top tier HW when he beat Fedor.

I think it's the GSP fans that will come out in droves to shit on Jones if he wins. Jones has the "undefeated" streak going on and he can potentially be a two division champion. I am rolling my eyes when I read stuff like Gane sucks or Bisping was a better fighter than him.

No one wins forever. Kabab would have lost if he stuck it out, but he ducked it out.
