My thoughts watching that fight:
1. Holy hell Fedor is deteriorating.... He looks like a fat WW now. Skinny chicken legs and arms.... Whatever fight is about to start
2. Mir appears to clip Fedor immediately and Fedor drops or slips.. He made no real attempt to dodge the punch, and it honestly looked like he never even saw it.... I'm scared to think that Fedor is about to be finished/get dunked on by the supreme striking of K-1 Mir.
3. They recover, and seem pretty evenly matched... Mir is out muscling Fedor in the clinches, but Fedor hit a beautiful Judo toss to dump Mir on his back. I'm concerned that Mir, a guy specifically known to struggle against people who where/are actually athletic, seems to clearly be the stronger guy overall, but thrilled that Fedor was smart enough to not just dive into Mir's guard. Pride Fedor would have dove straight in, and beaten Mir within an inch of his life, but current Fedor I think loses a limb to a Mir sub, so happy to see Fedor learning from his Werdum mistake.
4. Fedor clipped Mir with a punch I didn't actually see then quiickly pounds him out..... On a replay it's almost he exact same thing that Hendo did to Fedor in their fight.... I find it very interestiing how both fighters went down from relatively weak looking shots during this fight... (though in Mir's case you at least see his neck snap back from the blow he clearly never saw coming and that landed directly on the chin) .... I don't think either fighter has a chin that should keep them in cage anymore... but I will say that Fedor must have REALLY studiied his Hendo loss, because his reaction after clipping Mir to sneak those shots in under the arm and QUICKLY land some fight ending blows was pretty awesome.
I was entertained with the fight for what it was, two washed up legends finally getting to do battle.... but I felt more worried for both of them being in the cage than I did excited to see two legends battling it out.
