Fedor dissuades Cro Cop from throwing his patented left head kick

Excellent find, and if created, good work.

It was on fightland.

Yes I judge you because you are probably the absolute worst type of Fedor fanboy on here. Just no brain inside that thick head of yours at all. I mean you follow up your statement of "Fedor showed the best striking defense ever in an MMA fight" with "He got his nose broken by straight lefts". Do you even hear yourself? just own up to that idiotic statement as well as claiming "Cro Cop would have a CHANCE in a K-1 fight". Two of the most retarded statements made regarding your mancrush in quite a while. Embarrassing.

Secondly statistical analysis will always be inferior to watching the actual fighting using sound judgement, the latter you are not capable of. Yes Fedor showed good defense, but Cro Cop hit him with a lot of good shots so your earlier statement is nonsense.

Fedor won that fight by using every single trick he had up his sleeve after a very long and thorough preperation. It was his entire MMA background coming into play, not "superior striking" or any other hyperbole.

"Best striking defense ever shown in MMA"

I'm the very worst kind of Fedor fan(although equally a fan of Mirko) for you doubtless in that whilst I wouldn't consider myself a technical expert on the sport I do have a good deal of knowledge of its history and have actually watched fights such as his match with Crocop many times hence I can comment based on actual events not fall back to posting images of some ones face after a fight in place of decent analysis of it. The reality is that how different fighters mark up after a match is very different indeed plus of course that's ignoring the grappling where both men did actually land a lot more on the other.

You can stop with the silly strawman tactics as well, I did not say Mirko "had a chance" in a K-1 fight I said I would potentially favour him in one although really the whole subject is never going to be very definite as we've never seen Fedor fight under rules at all similar to K-1 with the larger gloves. Indeed as far as Fedor/Crocop in a standup match with MMA gloves I said I would "favour" Fedor, I did not say I considered him a lock.

Lets go back to the reality of what actually happened. Fedor and Crocop exchanged aggressively for around 10 mins in that fight and during that time Mirko was only able to land 3 jabs on Fedor and zero power shots to the head. Just in the first 5 mins Fedor slips Mirko's left straight 8-10 times, as I said this might not look as impressive as Andersons shoulder rolling vs sloppy opponents but its actually a lot more impressive as its done against a very technically strong opponent who hasn't broken mentally whilst moving forward. He didn't take zero punishment of course but he took an incredibly small amount of it considering the danger of his opponent. Reverse it as well and Mirko showed excellent defence to not taking tons of punishment from Fedor but he clearly took significant more of it.

Again you have a very high opinion of yourself and love to insult other posters but the reality is the degree of knowledge of the sport you show is very limited indeed falling back to simplistic trollish analysis. Granted your far from alone on these forums but look closely at the kind of posters who share your views and you'll likely not be too impressed.

Fedor was something special. I don't think we'll ever see a fighter like that again.

Not at all.
It is Cro Cop's kick to the top part of the head, like he landed on Wanderlei, Dos Caras and Waterman. Cro Cop said in interviews that it is probably most dangerous version, it doesn't look so attractive like kick to the neck or ear, but it transforms enormeous power straight to the brain and sends to instant sleep.
Fedor couldn't see anything, kick was so fast, he tried reflex reaction but his arm stayed too low and Miko's slip doesnt help him at all to land it.

Cro Cop slipped after he landed...

and because Fedor`s thick neck made some of the energy of the kick go back to him and take him off balance...

Are you blind? If you are, you should not post here...

Fedor was just lucky like when opponent hits a crossbar or post from penalty kick that slipp caused Cro Cop to get off balace and that full power wasn't connected and transferred to Fedor's head.

I'm not saying that contact with the shin isn't ideal for Mirko, I'd agree its actually the most devastating way the kick can land. What I'm saying is that Mirko was rushing to throw that LHK vs Fedor and so was both off target and off balance, losing his balance didn't make the kick miss either it actually made it look closer than it was. Watch the gif and Fedor actually has his arms up to defend it then drops it when he see's that its missing, Mirko's slip means he moves forward towards Fedor and the kick gets closer not further away.

Crop cop lands the kick to the side of the body Fedor hit his legs.

cro cop got the better of the first exchange.

lol no he didnt its quite obvious who took that flush impact and that was Mirko which is why he stumbled.

fedor was a beast
most well rounded fighter ever, a complete warrior
dangerous everywhere

Can someone post Dan Henderson sending him to la la land.

Fedor the most overhyped fighter in history.
