what do you all think of this? federal cops (we hope) are detaining US citizens without identifying themselves in any way. there are no badge numbers or id's offered up and the vehicle used is a rental with no way to trace who is doing the abduction/arrest.
this seems problematic in a lot of ways to me. firstly how is one to know if the military garbed men even work for the government in any way as opposed to being citizens enacting a kidnapping. secondly shouldn't these cops? have to identify themselves? what keeps them from detaining a US citizen indefinitely without offering up any rights whatsoever to the protester? if there is no accountability citizens could start disappearing and we would never know who is doing it.
some of you guys follow this kind of thing a lot more than i do. is this even legal?
this seems pretty fucked up and akin to a third world country to me.
Oregon officials outraged.
